Women’s apparel brand Chique is preparing for expansion into tier-2 and tier-3 cities across India. The company plans to open over 150 stores in the next three years, targeting the rising demand in these cities. Currently, Chique has a presence in 26 cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Gurugram, Bangalore, and Mumbai. However, the company now aims to focus on growth in smaller cities. To achieve this, Chique will collaborate with over 10 multi-brand outlets (MBOs) in various cities by the end of the fiscal year. The strategic move is expected to fuel a projected 50% year-on-year growth for the brand. Siddhanth Gupta, the founder of Chique, expressed the brand’s commitment to establishing a presence in every corner of India. He stated that customers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities are displaying a growing fashion consciousness and an affinity for their products. Chique’s approach blends traditional and Western sensibilities seamlessly. Apart from domestic stores, Chique also opened a store in Dubai last year. Looking ahead, the brand plans to open more than 150 stores in the next three years, with a focus on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the starting point. Established in 2015, Chique offers a variety of clothing, including workwear, casual wear, eveningwear, and occasion wear. The brand’s target audience is urban women between the ages of 20 and 60.
