Indian swimmers Tanish George Mathew, Vishal Grewal, Anand AS, and Srihari Nataraj set a national record time of 3:21.22 in the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay heats at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou. They advanced to the final, which will take place today at 6:18 PM IST. The Indian men’s cricket team, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, also advanced to the quarter-finals, while the women’s cricket team clinched the gold medal. In track cycling, Triyasha Paul advanced to the 1/16 final, but lost in the heats and will now compete in the repechage round. In table tennis, the Indian mixed doubles pair Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra was eliminated in the round of 16. In shooting, the men’s 10m air pistol team won the first Indian gold medal.
