Aditya-L1, India’s first solar observatory-class mission, is set to explore and study the Sun’s outer atmosphere like never before. As the spacecraft navigates its way to the Sun-Earth L1 point, it will be able to observe and analyze crucial aspects of the Sun’s behavior. By operating at a distance of about 1.5 million km from the Sun, Aditya-L1 will provide valuable insights into solar storms, solar flares, and other phenomena. The mission aims to enhance our understanding of the Sun and its impact on space weather, which can have significant consequences for Earth and our technological systems. Aditya-L1 is a collaborative effort between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and various research institutions, and it is expected to launch in the near future. Once operational, it will greatly contribute to the field of solar research and pave the way for future advancements in understanding and predicting solar activity.
