North Dakota lawmaker Doug Larsen, who had recently earned his commercial pilot’s license, tragically died in a plane crash in Utah. Larsen, his wife, and their two young sons were flying home from a family celebration in Arizona when the crash occurred. Larsen, a former Black Hawk helicopter pilot, had purchased a Piper Cherokee plane to gain flying experience. The crash is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
