Three-time former Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has submitted a medical report to the Lahore High Court stating that he continues to experience residual angina (chest pain) symptoms and requires regular follow-up investigations in both London and Pakistan. The report, signed by cardiologist Carlo Di Mario, highlights that he has been treating Sharif for various complications, including coronary artery bypass grafting, multiple angioplasties, and ablations. Sharif had left for the UK in 2019 for medical reasons while serving a seven-year jail term for corruption charges. Although initially allowed to travel for four weeks, extendable based on health reports, Sharif never returned to Pakistan and was later declared a proclaimed offender. His brother and former Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, had also committed to providing such medical reports periodically. This time, it is believed that Nawaz Sharif will secure bail and appear in court after a reception in his honor in Lahore.
