US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged the Palestinian Authority to restore calm and stability in the West Bank during a call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday. The US State Department issued a statement following the conversation, in which Blinken reaffirmed the United States’ condemnation of terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israel and called on regional leaders to condemn them as well. The State Department spokesperson also stated that Blinken urged the Palestinian Authority to take further actions to restore peace in the West Bank.
