Kerala’s Backwater Hub Kumarakom Tops in Revenue per Available Rooms in Country: Survey

Kumarakom, a popular backwater destination in Kerala, has secured the top spot in terms of revenue per available room in the country, according to a recent survey by hospitality consulting firm Hotelivate. The survey examined the performance of various destinations across India in terms of revenue generated by hotel rooms. Kumarakom’s strong performance can be attributed to its tranquil backwaters, luxurious resorts, and increasing tourist footfall.

Kovalam, another renowned beach destination in Kerala, claimed the third position in the list of top 15 destinations. Known for its picturesque beaches and pristine beauty, Kovalam continues to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists.

The survey also highlighted several other popular destinations that performed well in terms of revenue per available room. Ooty, a hill station in Tamil Nadu, secured the second position, while Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, ranked fourth. Other destinations that made it to the top 10 include Jaisalmer, North Goa, Alleppey, Munnar, Udaipur, Coorg, and Jodhpur.
