Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin pays tribute to the late neurosurgeon B. Ramamurthi on the occasion of his birth centenary. Stalin mentions the close relationship his family had with Ramamurthi and the friendship he shared with late leader M. Karunanidhi. He recalls how Ramamurthi visited him in jail during his arrest under MISA. Stalin also shares an anecdote about Ramamurthi’s role in convincing former Chief Minister Karunanidhi to implement the compulsory helmet rule. He further highlights that Ramamurthi was respected by former Presidents S. Radhakrishnan and V.V. Giri, as well as former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
