India Inc’s brightest female achievers were feted at a dazzling ceremony to celebrate this year’s Women Ahead awardees in Mumbai last Thursday. A marquee jury selected the latest list of 29 women role models from corporate India who have shown exemplary performance in their respective domains and made a meaningful imprint in their organizations and industry.
The felicitation ceremony saw Rukmani Krishnamurthy, chairperson, Helik Advisory, and the first eminent woman forensic scientist in the country, share the story of her incredible journey in the field of forensics. “Innovation and thinking out of the box to break stereotypes has played a crucial role in my life and work,” said Krishnamurthy.
The ceremony also featured speeches from business leaders and entrepreneurs who shared their journeys and lessons as leaders. Rashmi Daga, founder of FreshMenu, emphasized the importance of not having all the answers as an entrepreneur. Anuradha Razdan, member of the management committee of Hindustan Unilever Limited, highlighted the barriers to achieving gender parity at work but expressed optimism for the future.
