Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet Approves Amendments to State Industrial and Investment Policy

The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet has approved the amendment of the Arunachal Pradesh State Industrial and Investment Policy 2020. The aim is to make Arunachal Pradesh a favored destination for investment by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, imparting skills of the latest technology, and creating a conducive ecosystem for generating employment and balanced regional development.

The policy includes special incentives in the form of amended power subsidies and tax incentives, with single window clearance for all mandatory licenses. These measures are intended to attract investors and boost the state economy, leading to increased employment opportunities.

Additionally, the cabinet approved the framing of Arunachal Pradesh Home Guard Rules 2023, strengthening district administration for administrative convenience. It also created new administrative units, contingency posts, and circles to enhance governance and public service delivery.

Moreover, the cabinet approved the byelaws for solid waste and construction & demolition waste management, along with the amendment of the Arunachal Pradesh Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules 2020. These byelaws and amendments aim to ensure proper waste management and establish the Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Real Estate Appellate Tribunal for effective regulation of the real estate sector.

Furthermore, the cabinet approved an operation and maintenance policy for rural and urban water supply systems, aimed at ensuring sustainable management of water resources throughout the state. It also constituted the Special Tiger Protection Force in the state, with dedicated personnel for the protection of tiger reserves, wildlife habitats, and the prevention of wildlife smuggling.

Lastly, the cabinet approved providing a lump-sum honorarium to all the Third Language Teachers of various tribes in Arunachal Pradesh as an encouragement towards preserving and promoting their own dialects and languages.

These amendments and policies reflect the state government’s commitment to create a favorable business environment, promote economic growth, and enhance the overall development of Arunachal Pradesh.
