An Indian Gaur was discovered deceased in the Kundha Range of the Nilgiris Forest Division, near the road leading to the Kateri dam. After receiving information, the Forest Department staff conducted a preliminary examination and discovered that the animal’s head had been injured. A metal and rubber-like substance was also found. To investigate the cause of death, a special team has been formed and they are currently focusing on a possible gun shot injury.
