During the disqualification case against Shiv Sena MLAs, the Eknath Shinde faction raised concerns about Uddhav Thackeray’s appointment as the party chief. The faction claimed that no party executive meeting took place on June 21, 2018, where Uddhav Thackeray’s appointment supposedly happened. The Shinde faction requested more time to submit evidence related to the case, which was objected by the Uddhav faction. The hearing will resume on November 2, and an order will be given regarding the submission of evidence. Both factions presented their arguments, and the Uddhav faction emphasized that allowing the Shinde faction to adduce evidence would violate the Supreme Court’s order. The Speaker had previously grouped the petitions into six categories, and the hearing will focus on the transition of power period.
