The health ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza announced on Sunday that the death toll in the Palestinian territory has exceeded 8,000 since the start of the war with Israel on October 7. The ministry revealed that half of the casualties were children. Previously, the death toll stood at 7,703. The Israeli aggression has caused immense suffering in Gaza.
