India secured a 2-1 victory against China in their third match of the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Deepika and Salima Tete gave India the lead in the first half before Zhong Jiaqi pulled one back for China in the third quarter. The Indian women’s hockey team maintained their perfect record at the Asian Champions Trophy in Jharkhand with three wins out of three matches. Japan are also unbeaten after three matches but have a goal difference of +11 compared to India’s +12. The win also confirms India’s berth in the semi-finals of the tournament. India will face defending champions Japan in their next match.
