Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday took a swipe at Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath, referring to them as ‘Jai’ and ‘Veeru’, the iconic characters from the movie Sholay. Chouhan accused the two leaders of fighting over the distribution of plundered booty and questioned why the Congress leadership called them to Delhi. He alleged that they are only interested in looting the state and creating confusion. This criticism comes after Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala equated Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath to ‘Jai’ and ‘Veeru’ in a recent statement. The BJP has alleged a rift within the Congress over the selection of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
