15th India-Singapore Defence Policy Dialogue Held in Delhi

The 15th India-Singapore Defence Policy Dialogue took place in New Delhi, bringing together Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and Permanent Secretary (Defence) of Singapore, Chan Heng Kee. The dialogue aimed to review and enhance existing defence cooperation between the two countries. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the Strategic Partnership, emphasizing mutual trust, understanding, and shared democratic values. They discussed strengthening collaboration in service-to-service interactions and bilateral exercises, as well as exploring new areas like cyber security. The defence secretary praised Singapore’s efforts in coordinating the Asean-India Maritime Exercise and highlighted India’s domestic defence industry. This physical meeting marked an important step in bilateral relations after the Covid-19 pandemic.
