BJP on Tuesday rejected several opposition leaders’ allegations against the government following Apple’s alert warning of state-sponsored attackers trying to remotely compromise their iPhones and stated that it is Apple’s responsibility to clarify the issue. Ravi Shankar Prasad, a senior BJP leader, criticized the opposition for targeting the government without approaching Apple and challenged its leaders to file a criminal case if they have any problems. BJP IT department head Amit Malviya questioned Rahul Gandhi’s credibility and called the allegations frivolous. In the midst of the controversy, IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the government’s investigation into the matter.
