Tractor sales in India have experienced a decline for the second month in a row, compared to the previous year. The drop in sales can be primarily attributed to the impact of uneven rains on agricultural activities, which in turn affected the demand for tractors. Tractor makers have also pointed out the high base effect, as last year’s sales numbers were particularly strong. Additionally, the delayed festive period has contributed to the decline in sales. However, with Diwali and Dhanteras approaching later this month, the industry is optimistic about a revival in sales during the festive season.
