The Congress is confident of performing well in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections and the absence of Jyotiraditya Scindia, now a Union Minister, won’t affect it, said former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh. Scindia’s influence was overestimated, as he didn’t bring significant numbers of MLAs in the last elections. The Congress won on its own merit. Singh also highlighted that the party has performed well in by-elections and local body elections in Gwalior and Morena. The Congress is united and has effectively controlled rebel situations, and Singh is confident of getting good results.
