The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Friday, with various IT stocks gaining. LTIMindtree Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Infosys Ltd., MphasiS Ltd., and Persistent Systems Ltd. were among the top gainers in the pack, while HCL Technologies Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., and Wipro Ltd. finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty IT index closed 0.64% up at 30779.95, while the benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 97.35 points at 19230.6, and the BSE Sensex stood up 282.88 points at 64363.78. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red. Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Zomato, YES Bank, and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Hind Rectifiers, Industrial Invst, Tilaknagar Ind, Intense Tech, and JP Power hit their fresh 52-week highs, while Avro India, Shree Ram Proteins, Yasho Industries, Aegis Logistics, and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
