In a tragic turn of events, Brazilian influencer and reality TV star Luana Andrade, aged 29, lost her life following complications from a liposuction surgery. The incident took place at São Luiz Hospital in São Paulo, where Andrade was accompanied by her family for the cosmetic procedure.

During the surgery, Andrade experienced a sudden respiratory event, resulting in a cardiac arrest. The medical team acted promptly and successfully revived her. However, subsequent tests revealed a concerning development: a massive thrombosis characterized by blood clots blocking veins.

The hospital issued a statement explaining that the surgery was halted, and Andrade was transferred to the ICU for medication and hemodynamic treatment. Despite exhaustive efforts from the medical team, her condition continued to worsen, and she eventually succumbed to a massive pulmonary embolism.

Andrade was well-known for her appearance on the Brazilian reality show ‘Power Couple Brasil 6’ alongside her boyfriend João Hadad. She had amassed a significant following of 558,000 on Instagram. The news of her untimely demise was met with shock and grief, with tributes pouring in from friends, family, and fans.

Hadad expressed his anguish on Instagram, sharing a heartbroken message bidding farewell to his beloved Luana.

A funeral service was held at Valle dos Reis Cemetery in São Paulo, providing an opportunity for friends and well-wishers to say their final goodbyes to the influencer.
