The head of Lebanon’s powerful Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, declared that the group has used new weapons and targeted new locations in Israel in recent days. Nasrallah stated that there has been an upgrade in the group’s operations along the Lebanese front with Israel. He confirmed the use of a missile called the Burkan, which carries 300 to 500 kilograms of explosives, and the deployment of weaponized drones for the first time. Nasrallah also mentioned that Hezbollah struck Kiryat Shmona, a northern Israeli town, in retaliation for the killing of three girls and their grandmother. He reassured that this front against Israel will remain active. Hezbollah, founded by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards in 1982, has been engaging in exchange of fire with Israeli forces at the Lebanese-Israeli border since early October, resulting in casualties on both sides.
