A total of 16 BSF (Border Security Forces) companies will be deployed in highly sensitive polling centres of Gwalior district, according to the district administration. The move comes to ensure smooth voting during the upcoming elections. The district administration has identified 276 highly sensitive polling centres in the district where the BSF teams will be deployed. Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Singh Chandel, stated that along with the BSF companies, there will be 130 sector mobile police who will visit and ensure security arrangements at eight to ten polling stations in the highly sensitive polling centres. The authorities are also planning to use drones in the city to monitor the situation. Additionally, sets have been installed in rural areas to maintain wireless communication. The police force, comprising around 7,000 personnel, has been deployed to ensure a peaceful and secure voting process in the district. The officers have warned of strict action against anyone found violating the rules or seen in the city from outside on polling day without any valid reason. The aim is to facilitate a smooth and fear-free voting experience for the people.
