Fortnite: New Voice-Reporting Feature Announced by Epic Games

Epic Games has unveiled its plans to introduce a new voice-reporting feature for Fortnite players. This feature is designed to help catch players who violate the company’s community rules. Similar to other gaming companies like Sony, the voice-reporting feature will be activated by default for underaged players. When the feature is turned on, the game will securely capture the last five minutes of audio on a ‘rolling basis.’ The audio recordings will only be uploaded if a player files a report, and they will be sent to Epic moderators for review. The reports will remain anonymous and the audio clips will be automatically deleted within 14 days. However, the company may withhold the audio if there is a request or for legal reasons. Players who are above 18 years old have the option to turn off the voice-reporting feature. In addition to this new feature, Epic Games has also announced that it will be rolling out an age rating system for content in the game. This system will provide information about the appropriate age for each piece of content.
