Realme is set to name T M Narshimhan as the India head of the Chinese smartphone major, according to industry executives. Narshimhan, a veteran at Samsung India, will lead the India operations for Realme and work closely with the company’s headquarters in China. He will effectively become the face of the brand in the world’s second-largest market after the departure of co-founder and chief executive Madhav Sheth in June. Realme India has denied the reports of Narshimhan joining the company. Realme recently appointed Sudhanshu Raj as the chief operating officer. Since the exit of Sheth in June, the company was being managed by the China leadership, with Indian employees working as ‘partners’ to the management.
