One terrorist was killed in an encounter between militants and a joint team of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Friday. The operation was launched based on specific information regarding suspicious movement in the Behrote area. The terrorist fired at the security personnel from inside a house. The exchange of fire continued for some time, and the terrorist was eventually killed. Recovered from the encounter site were an AK-47 rifle, three magazines, three grenades, and a pouch. The area is currently under cordon and search operation, while the identity of the terrorist is being ascertained.
