The Himachal Pradesh government has announced the construction of buildings for 49 Anganwadi centres in Hamirpur district. The initiative aims to provide proper nutrition and preschool education for children between the ages of three and six. Currently, these facilities are being run from private buildings, and efforts are being made to improve the infrastructure. The buildings will be constructed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme. Each building will cost ₹12 lakh, with funds being allocated from various sources.
