Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger 3’, which was released on November 12, has achieved a significant milestone at the box office. The film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in its first week of release. Despite facing strong competition from the World Cup 2023 matches, ‘Tiger 3’ has managed to hold its ground.
On its seventh day, the film collected Rs 17 crore, taking its total domestic box office collection to Rs 217 crores, as per Sacnilk. With this feat, ‘Tiger 3’ has become the fourth highest grossing Bollywood movie in terms of its 7-day collection in 2023.
The film has also entered the prestigious 200-crore club, becoming the 34th film to achieve this milestone. The Saturday collection will propel it to the position of the 27th biggest Hindi nett grosser of all time.
However, the film’s performance might get affected on Sunday due to the World Cup Finals. Despite this, the actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have started doing post-release interviews and promotions for the movie, which is expected to generate positive word-of-mouth among the audience.
Salman Khan spoke about the impact of the World Cup on ‘Tiger 3’s box office collection. He expressed his belief that with India winning the World Cup, more audiences will return to theaters. He said, “Har game India jeeti hai and us dauran hum aaye toh jo humare collections hai woh bhaut hi ache hai. India ab (World Cup) jeet jaegi aur uske baad aap sab wapas theatres mein (India won all matches so far and during the ongoing World Cup, we came up with Tiger 3. Our film drew good collections. Now India will win the World Cup and you all will return to theaters).”
‘Tiger 3’ also features Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role.
