Bharatiya Janata Party MP Dilip Ghosh has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remark suggesting that the Prime Minister should say ‘AdJi Ki Jai’ instead of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Ghosh stated that the Congress will have to learn to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, otherwise, they will face downfall. He made these comments after offering prayers at Chhath Ghat in West Bengal’s West Medinipur district. Ghosh further participated in the Chhath celebration, offering ‘Araghya’ to the rising sun at the Kansabati River. He was also seen playing the dhol and offering tea and biscuits to devotees at the Chhat Ghat. During an interview, Ghosh launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, where violence is taking place daily, affecting both ordinary citizens and politicians. He also criticized Banerjee’s lack of public appearances and the current state of her party. On Monday, devotees across the nation concluded the Chhath Puja festival by offering morning worship to the rising sun. The festival, which represents purity, goodwill, and faith, is celebrated by worshiping the setting and rising sun. The fasting devotees made offerings to the rising sun and broke their fast. Chhath Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bengal, and is also observed in the national capital. The festival is believed to have originated in the hilly regions of Nepal and is associated with prayers and wishes for the well-being and long lives of family members. It is a time of fasting, consuming only pure foods, and maintaining cleanliness. The festival is known for its high participation among women and is a time to take a break from daily chores and rejuvenate.
