The life and work of David Holmes, a stuntman paralyzed during a Harry Potter set accident in 2009, has been chronicled in a new documentary titled ‘David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived’. The documentary premiered in London and showcases archive footage of Holmes working as Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double, along with interviews with his colleagues and friends. Holmes, who was a skilled gymnast when he was chosen to work on the Harry Potter franchise, describes the film as cathartic. However, he admits that he cannot bring himself to watch it yet. Directed by former Harry Potter crew member Dan Hartley, the documentary aims to raise awareness about the work of stunt performers and the realities of living with a disability.
