Repair work has been carried out in Uttarakhand’s Silkyara tunnel to fix a cracked platform for the drilling machine, giving hope for the 41 workers who have been trapped inside. The operations had been suspended due to the cracks but have now resumed after the necessary repairs were made. A team from DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) will assess the situation and will scan beyond the cleared 46.8 meters. The workers might be able to exit through escape pipes while further drilling is being done.
