Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Manipur, stated on Saturday that he is willing to act as a facilitator for any insurgent group that manifests a desire to engage in a peace process. Singh emphasized the importance of seeking resolutions for conflicts, regardless of whether they are political or otherwise. It was noted that the government of India, along with the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and the state government, will collaborate to establish the final ground rules for the process. These ground rules will also include provisions for the secure storage of weapons.
