The Centre told the Supreme Court on Friday that “something constructive” was happening in the case relating to the indefinite suspension of AAP MP Raghav Chadha. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed a bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud about the development. The court had previously asked Chadha to apologise to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar to end his suspension. Chadha has been under suspension since August 11 after being accused by some BJP MPs of adding their names to a motion without their consent. The motion sought the constitution of a select committee to examine the contentious Delhi Services Bill.
