Actor Rohan Verma, recognized for his remarkable performances in popular films like Bhaukaal 2 and Main Hero Boll Raha Hu, is currently featuring in Meghna Gulzar’s latest movie ‘Sam Bahadur’. Verma plays the character of Mohammad Attiqur Rahman, an ally of Sam Bahadur, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. Verma mentions that he felt honored to portray a role that sheds light on the history of their close friendship. He describes his preparation for the role as a journey to satisfy his curiosity and gain insight into Attiqur Rahman’s life. Verma shares that the book ‘Back to the Pavilion’ by M. Attiqur Rahman immensely helped him in understanding the depth of the character’s experiences and the friendship between Rahman and Sam Manekshaw.
Verma also discusses the challenges faced during the filming process. The team shot the world war sequences in extremely hot conditions, wearing heavy gear, and amidst real explosions. Verma acknowledges the difficulties but believes that the hard work serves the purpose of portraying a great story that will inspire future generations.

He fondly recalls addressing Kaushal as ‘sir’ initially, but Kaushal insisted on being referred to as ‘bhai’ instead. Verma praises Kaushal’s ability to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere on set and describes him as unstoppable because of his lovable personality.
