Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Pralhad Joshi, announced that the government is fully prepared for a structured debate in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament, starting on December 4. Joshi emphasized the government’s willingness for fruitful discussions but stressed the importance of following procedure for a structured debate. He mentioned the demands for Short Duration, Calling Attention, and Zero Hour discussions and urged all parliamentarians to ensure the smooth running of the House. Joshi also mentioned the ethics panel investigating cash-for-query allegations against Trinamool Congress MP, Mahua Moitra, and stated that the Speaker would decide on the matter. The Winter Session is set to commence on December 4 and conclude on December 22, with 15 sittings over 19 days. The government is introducing 19 Bills, including two financial items, covering a total of 21 items. The Home Ministry has three Bills addressing issues such as Central University and constitutional order. An all-party meeting, chaired by Rajnath Singh, included 30 leaders from 23 parties, and Joshi highlighted the readiness for discussions on various topics, including the Manipur issue, while emphasizing the procedural aspects involved.
