Vicky Kaushal’s latest film ‘Sam Bahadur’ has hit the screens alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. Since the announcement of their release dates, comparisons were bound to be drawn between the two films. However, it is evident that these films can’t be compared due to the difference in screen count and advance bookings. On its first day, ‘Animal’ earned a staggering Rs 63 crore in all languages, while ‘Sam Bahadur’ managed to make Rs 6.42 crore. Despite the competition, ‘Sam Bahadur’ witnessed a growth of around Rs 3 crore on its second day, taking its total collection to Rs 15.50 crore in just two days. The film released in only 1500-2000 screens compared to ‘Animal’, which released in 4500-5000 screens. Despite the lower screen count, ‘Sam Bahadur’ has been receiving positive word of mouth and is expected to continue its strong performance at the box office.
