An Indian Sikh pilgrim in his 70s died due to cardiac arrest in Lahore, Pakistan’s Punjab province. Sardar Preetam Singh complained of chest pain and was rushed to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, where he couldn’t be saved. The Evacuee Trust Property Board, responsible for minorities’ holy places, confirmed the incident. Meanwhile, over 2,500 Indian Sikhs are in Pakistan for Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary festivities. In a separate incident, an Indian Sikh family was robbed at gunpoint by individuals impersonating police officers in Lahore. The culprits are yet to be apprehended, and the victims have not received any compensation.
