Safina Namukwaya, a 70-year-old woman in Uganda, has made headlines by giving birth to twins. She delivered a boy and a girl via C-section at a hospital in Kampala. Namukwaya used a donor egg and her partner’s sperm for the IVF treatment. This is not the first time that a woman beyond the traditional child-bearing age has become a mother.
