The Centre’s revengeful attitude towards Kerala has failed to dampen the spirit of the state, as thousands of people attended the Navakerala Sadas in a show of confidence in the Left Democratic Front government. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan addressed the gathering, stating that Kerala was moving forward and overcoming challenges. He remarked that even though Opposition MPs did not speak up against the Centre’s vindictiveness in Parliament, the massive presence of people at the event forced them to move an adjournment motion. The finance minister was compelled to respond to the allegations. Minister for Industries P. Rajeeve announced that industrial parks would be allowed on college and university campuses if they had land exceeding five acres. Drinking water projects worth ₹4,012 crore had been implemented in Thrissur district, and 36 lakh houses received drinking water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Agriculture Minister P. Prasad declared that Kerala would become the first state without any individuals living in extreme poverty by November 2025. The government had distributed ₹57,603 crore as social security pensions in the past seven years. The Navakerala Sadas, which aims to take the government cabinet to the masses, showcased the transformation of government schools into high-tech institutions, providing modern technology to economically disadvantaged students. The government’s focus was now on improving the quality of education, following extensive infrastructure development worth ₹5,000 crore in schools. The Education Minister highlighted that the state made 1,1175 appointments through the PSC in the past year alone. The Navakerala Sadas will continue in Chalakudy on Thursday.
