Bandyopadhyay claims that the move is designed to silence Moitra’s criticism of the Adani Group. He argues that the committee’s decision was hasty and lacks transparency. Bandyopadhyay questions why the MP who raised the allegations against Moitra was not called to the committee meeting. He also criticizes the timing of the tabling of the report on a Friday, instead of on a regular session day. Bandyopadhyay asserts that the government is unable to tolerate Moitra’s allegations against the Adani Group and is determined to stop her. Moitra can only be expelled if the recommendation is approved by the House. The Winter Session of Parliament is scheduled to continue until December 22.
