IIT-Madras is working towards making around 10-15 courses available in about a dozen languages by the end of this financial year, as part of its efforts to push the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s Bhashini initiative. Bhashini aims to build a national public digital platform for languages to develop services and products for citizens, using artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. The project aims to eliminate language barriers in accessing digital content and enable seamless language transition.
