Even as the government sought to reassure the public about the crowd management measures at Sabarimala, the Nair Service Society on Wednesday expressed concern over the situation on the holy hillock. G. Sukumaran Nair, general secretary, urged the government to take immediate action to restore the situation, emphasizing the need for competent and experienced officers. The current system fails to effectively regulate and control the flow of pilgrims, causing overcrowding and congestion. The lack of adequate transportation and parking facilities further exacerbate the issue. NSS has called for the establishment of parking facilities for small vehicles in Pampa to mitigate congestion.
