Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya next month, members of the Hindu American community have kicked off the month-long celebrations to commemorate the event by organising a car rally in a suburb of Washington DC. Several community members gathered at the Shri Bhakta Anjaneya Temple in Ayodhya Way for the rally. The grand inauguration of the Ram Temple is set for January 22, 2024. The celebration will feature various activities such as Ram Leela, storytelling, Hindu prayers, devotional songs, and more. The organisers aim to involve Hindu families residing in America and promote cultural integration. The historic inauguration of Ayodhya Mandir holds immense significance for Hindu generations worldwide. The construction of the temple was made possible by a Supreme Court verdict in 2019, and the foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020.
