The National Center for Seismology has reported that a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck Tehri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 km at 4:01 pm. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries, loss of life, or damage to property. This comes after a magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit the same region last year in November, with the epicenter located 39 km east of Uttarkashi. The region remains seismically active.
