A man named Mahesh Nandihal from Roodagi village in Vijayapura district was beaten up by his estranged wife’s relatives in Muddebihal on Friday. Mahesh had initiated divorce proceedings against his wife, which upset her family. According to the police, Mahesh suspected his wife’s character as she became pregnant within seven months of their marriage. This angered the girl’s parents, who then attacked Mahesh. He filed a complaint with the Muddebihal Police and the accused have been arrested. A case has been registered regarding the incident.
