Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) founder-leader and actor Vijayakant passed away in Chennai at the age of 71 after testing positive for COVID-19. Supporters gathered during his last rites, which will be performed on December 29. The public can pay homage to his mortal remains at Island ground, Anna Salai. Later, the last rites will be held at the Koyambedu DMDK office. Vijayakant’s death has led to an outpouring of grief among his supporters and the political fraternity.
