Home Minister Amit Shah’s Instagram account has achieved a significant milestone by crossing 10 million followers. This surge in followers comes after a series of landmark bills were passed in the Parliament under Shah’s leadership. The minister’s adeptness in navigating through contentious legislations has garnered attention, leading to an increase in his popularity on social media platforms. Shah currently has 34.1 million followers on X, 10.7 million on Instagram, and 15 million on Facebook. His Instagram following is second only to PM Narendra Modi, who has 82.7 million followers. On Facebook, Shah has 15 million followers, while Modi leads with 48 million. This substantial difference in social media following sets Shah apart from opposition leaders such as Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Shah’s popularity has been steadily rising since his instrumental role in PM Modi’s victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. However, it witnessed a significant upturn after BJP’s resounding victory in 2019 under his leadership.
