BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president D. Purandeswari has accused the State government of neglecting the tourism potential of the Kakinada coast and the promotion of Godavari mangroves, despite receiving timely financial aid from the Centre. She claimed that the Centre had released funds for the development of tourism and the preservation of Godavari mangroves. Purandeswari criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to fulfill his promise of modernizing the Yeleru irrigation system. She also expressed outrage over the house arrest of BJP leaders prior to the Chief Minister’s visit to Bhimavaram town. Purandeswari held discussions with party cadre on various issues and strategies pertaining to the upcoming Assembly elections.
