Goa recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally of active cases to 61. Since the beginning of December, Goa has recorded a total of 109 cases, and the government expects numbers to rise further. The ten new cases came out of 287 samples tested, and all ten were sent to home isolation with no hospitalisations. So far, three persons this month have been hospitalised, one in a private facility. Of the two who were admitted in government hospitals, one was an incidental finding as the patient was due for surgery. The state epidemiologist stated that none of the hospitalised patients were serious or required oxygen, as all have had mild illness.
