Kotak Mahindra Bank announced that Ashok Vaswani has assumed charge as the Managing Director (MD) and CEO of the bank. He took over from Dipak Gupta, who served as interim MD and CEO after Uday Kotak stepped down as the bank’s head. Vaswani’s appointment was approved by the Reserve Bank of India for a period of three years. Vaswani, an alumnus of Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, is a veteran banker with a track record spanning over three decades. He previously worked with Barclays and Pagaya Technologies Ltd. CS Rajan has also assumed charge as the Chairman of the bank.
